The Twitter account of the Muslim Brotherhood (@ikhwanweb) has been hacked and is tweeting out pro-revolution messages, with phrases like “the Egyptian revolution lives” and praises of the blood of martyrs like Khaled Said, whose photograph has been uploaded as the Twitter account’s profile picture.
Since this hack was appropriately timed for the Egyptian election, check out Al Ahram’s visual breakdown of voting results. Amid the ongoing run-off election, third-place candidate Hamdeen Sabahi is charging the front-runners (the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohammed Morsi and former Mubarak prime minister Ahmed Shafiq) with vote-rigging.
